Apple’s new operating system is available to download on your iPhone as a free software update. It came along with new ways to stay connected, introducing new and powerful updates which FaceTime Update, Live Text, and Maps upgrade.
The firm developer conference held in June uncovered Apple’s upcoming releases including iOS 15, iPadOS 15, Watch OS 8, and new iPhone 13. Though, the company released its new updated software before launching its new iPhone.
The tech giant firm Apple has also released iOS 14.8, which must not be confused with iOS 15. The iOS 14.8 was released is to address the security issue. However, iOS 15 will bring new features to several generations of the iPhone.
The updated software brings new ways with redesigned notifications, tools to keep professional and personal life separate, the ability to FaceTime Video call with non-Apple users, and much more.
Here are few things you need to know about the new updated software
- All eligible Apple devices are allowed to download the updated software, and install the update the moment it is released, 6 pm UK (3 am Sydney).
- Apple devices including from 2015 iPhone 6S, or newer including the first generation iPhone SE can download it. All Apple Tablets from 2014’s iPad Air 2, 2015’s iPad mini 4, 2017’s iPad 5th generation or newer can also install iPad OS 15. Apple Watches including 2017’s series 3 or newer can install Watch OS 8.
- For download, open the settings on your iPhone or iPad then navigate to General> Software Update. If available to download, tap install, verify, and reboot to install.
- WatchOS 8 requires an iPhone 6 or later to be able to run iOS 15. Open the Watch App and navigate to General> Software Update to being the download. Make sure, your smartwatch is on its charger to complete the installation.
- It doesn’t cost you anything to download the software. It’s free from Apple. If they ask you to pay for an update, consider it a scam.
What are the Major Changes?
