Aarti Joshi has been promoted to CIO by the NSW Department of Customer Service

Aarti Joshi has been promoted from acting procurement officer to chief information officer (CIO) at the New South Wales Department of Customer Service (DCS). This appointment follows the departure of Suneetha Bodduluri, the former acting CIO, who has moved to the NSW Telco Authority as its acting chief digital and technology officer. The DCS spokesperson confirmed Joshi’s appointment after an extensive recruitment process, noting that she has been working on digital and innovation projects within the department for several years. Joshi, who will report to COO Mandy Young, shared the news of her promotion on LinkedIn, expressing her excitement to lead initiatives that leverage technology, data, and new working methods to make the NSW government more customer-centric. Prior to her current role, Joshi held senior positions in systems, enterprise architecture, and digital innovation at DCS, as well as IT roles at Woolworths Group and Big W.
