In a groundbreaking move, Melbourne offices are embracing the future of cleanliness as they join the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and Marvel Stadium in employing drones for washing.
FAMASO, a prominent facility services company, has introduced state-of-the-art drone technology from the Norwegian company KTV Working Drones, marking a new era in commercial building maintenance.
With the assistance of Colliers, Vicland, a property developer, pioneered the use of this technology to clean the exterior of their office building, St Germain in Toorak. Over the past few weeks, the drones have conducted demonstrations, showcasing their cleaning capabilities at both the MCG and Marvel Stadium.
FAMASO director Mikhil Kotak expressed his unwavering commitment to the technology by promptly paying the non-refundable fee to secure the rights to introduce KTV Working Drones to Australia.
“Fueled by rechargeable battery packs, these drones epitomize environmental friendliness by employing minimal water and eschewing harsh cleaning agents,” stated Mr Kotak.
He highlighted that traditional facade washing, in contrast, is a more sluggish process that leads to increased water wastage.
“Drones, with their capability to simultaneously clean facades and glass, contribute to enhanced building maintenance over time compared to the conventional method.”
“Director of Development at Vicland Property Group, Jake Steinhart, expressed a commitment to innovation, stating that they are consistently exploring new approaches with their buildings. “In the present market, tenants seek the latest and most technologically advanced features,” remarked Mr. Steinhart.
