Virgin Australia has launched a recruitment drive to expand its internal cybersecurity capabilities. The airline is hiring additional support positions. Additionally, new roles to reduce cyber risk and back its long-term information security strategy.
Some of the new positions include an information security governance, risk, and compliance. Also, manager to develop a security-conscious culture and ensure compliance obligations are met. The airline also plans to boost employee training and awareness with a specialist to renew, implement and maintain its information security training program.
Another specialist will be responsible for managing third-party risk by coordinating the gathering of data from third parties and communicating outcomes to stakeholders. Virgin Australia is also looking for a compliance specialist to run all aspects of PCI DSS.
The airline has open positions for a threat intelligence analyst and an operations engineer. The roles will report to the chief information officer and head of information security.
Virgin Australia aims to ensure its guest data and systems are secure. Hiring cybersecurity experts to mitigate risks and develop further capabilities.
