7-Eleven Australia is teaming up with Grabango, a startup, to make shopping easier. They’re using smart technology that lets customers skip the usual checkout. This new system uses AI, like a smart computer, and will be in 10 stores by 2024. Shoppers can use the updated “My 7-Eleven App Pay and Go 2.0” to try it out.
Grabango’s special tech watches where products are in the store. It doesn’t need lasers or face recognition. Customers don’t have to scan things with their phones either.Stephen Eyears, who works at 7-Eleven, says this will make it simple for customers who use “Pay and Go.” They won’t need to scan each item one by one.
7-Eleven did something like this before in 2019, and now they’re doing it again with better tech. Most stores will still let you pay the old way.
Eyears says making shopping easy is important. Workers will also have an easier time. They can focus on helping customers. This change shows how 7-Eleven keeps getting better with technology to make shopping smoother for everyone.
