Endeavour Group has embarked on a comprehensive three-year technology-enabled optimization initiative aimed at achieving $200 million in cost savings across its supply chain. The program, known as “endeavourGo,” seeks to streamline operations, mitigate inflationary pressures, and redirect funds for strategic investments.
Endeavour Group CEO Steve Donohue introduced the optimization effort during the company’s 2023 full-year results announcement. The program leverages new capabilities to enhance efficiency, with a focus on creating and deploying core technology platforms to facilitate cost reduction.
Donohue emphasized that meticulous cost management has been a core focus since the company’s separation from former owner Woolworths in 2021. Over the past two years, optimization initiatives have already delivered $90 million in savings. Initiatives included the implementation of an AI-driven activity-based rostering system across the retail network and streamlining in-store and online delivery processes.
Endeavour Group reported a total group sales figure of $11.9 billion
Endeavour Group’s collaboration with Woolworths to transition to standalone technology platforms is a central component of its broader technological transformation known as “One Endeavour.” The company expects operating expenditure of $40 million to $50 million and capital expenditure of $35 million to $55 million for the 2024 fiscal year, as part of its ongoing efforts to achieve transformative benefits.
Endeavour’s hotel division displayed resilience post-Covid-19 restrictions, achieving $2 billion in sales and a robust recovery. The ALH Hotels brand introduced a proof of concept for a new hotel app platform, Pub Plus, aimed at enhancing guest engagement and experiences.
Endeavour Group reported a total group sales figure of $11.9 billion, reflecting a 2.5 percent increase from the previous year. Net profit after tax rose by 6.9 percent to $529 million, with earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) reaching $1.023 billion, up 10.7 percent compared to the previous period.
