The Western Australian Police Force’s “anywhere communications project” has allocated $3.5 million for Starlink data services with the goal of integrating numerous connectivity networks.
Vocus, a Starlink reseller, will supply data services to 122 remote police stations and 550 vehicles in Western Australia. This project builds on the $8.5 million investment for Starlink services and equipment announced last year.
According to WA Police, the most recent agreement is a supplement to the earlier one. The decision comes after a successful three-month experiment during which the Water Police and police from remote stations tested the technology.
Installing Starlink connections in regional and specialty fleet vehicles is part of the project. to make sure it’s more reliable.
The present agreement expires on November 10, 2026, after a one-year period. WA Police has concentrated on updating and restructuring its technological operations during the last two years. The company wants to support these developments by offering state-of-the-art ICT services and knowledge.
