Virgin Australia Flight VA469 Forced to Make Emergency Landing

Virgin Australia flight VA469 was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff from Perth International Airport, bound for Brisbane.

The pilots were alerted to a technical issue with the aircraft’s hydraulic flaps on the wings. Without the flaps, the pilots were left with just the brakes to rely on upon landing.

The pilots immediately notified air traffic control of the issue and requested to return to Perth International Airport, where they were met by emergency services.

The passengers were kept informed of the situation throughout the entire ordeal, with the pilot’s reassuring them that they were doing everything they could to ensure a safe landing.

The flight landed without any issues at approximately 3pm, despite the drama of the plane needing to circle Perth in order to burn off fuel.
