On Saturday, Twitter updated its Apple App store to set $8 after blue check verification marks. This is Apple’s first significant update of the social media platform after taking over. Elon Musk took over Twitter after paying $44 billion.
Elon Musk’s CEO also cut off half the staff at Twitter and started charging users. Twitter announced those who ‘’ sign up now’’ for $7.99 a month will receive the blue checkmark next to their user’s name, just like the celebrities, companies and politicians you already follow.’’
The update will be initially introduced in the United States, Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Musk said in a tweet on Saturday.“As soon as we confirm it’s working well in the initial set of countries and we have the translation work done, it will roll out worldwide,”
“Power to the people! Blue for $8/month,” Musk tweeted.
