Kathleen Mackay, the NSW government’s primary revenue management agency’s chief digital officer, has resigned after a three-and-a-half-year tenure. Mackay, who joined the firm in May 2018 as executive director of strategy and transformation, announced her resignation on LinkedIn yesterday. She has been the CDO for the last year, after serving as the executive director of customer service (fines and debt) for the previous 18 months.
“It is time to bid farewell to my great colleagues at Revenue NSW after a very satisfying career,” she wrote. Since my arrival in 2018, we’ve advanced customer and digital changes while also delivering significant improvements in services, culture, technology, and internal operations.”
Mackay spent four years at Boral before joining Revenue NSW, including three years as an overall project manager and one year as head of digital delivery. She has also held project management positions at Broadspectrum, NAB, Macquarie Bank, and the Royal Bank of Scotland. Mackay praised her coworkers for providing the “support necessary over these years to experiment and accomplish long-term change,” as she put it.
“To everyone in the broader teams in NSW, a big ‘I’m going to miss you,’ thanks for your competence and for giving it your all every day,” she added. Mackay stated that she and her family are now preparing to experience “everything that Tasmania has to offer.” “I’ll get back to you on that,” she said.
