Tasmania’s government is the latest victim of GoAnywhere

The Tasmanian government has joined the list of organisations impacted by the GoAnywhere data breach. In a statement, the government confirmed that it had used the third-party file transfer service and that the breach may have led to the loss of government-held data.

The government has reported the potential breach to relevant state and federal authorities, including the Australian Cyber Security Centre and the police.

The investigation is ongoing, and the government has pledged to provide updates as the situation unfolds. The statement also reiterates the government’s commitment to providing support to anyone affected if personal information has been compromised.

Other Australian entities affected by the GoAnywhere breach include Crown Resorts and Rio Tinto.
