On a recent earnings call for Warner Bros. Interactive, an executive has seemingly revealed an unannounced Mortal Kombat game. The executive in question explicitly mentioned Mortal Kombat 12 during the call and stated that the game was due to launch sometime in 2023.
This revelation has come as quite a surprise to fans of the long-running fighting game series, as Mortal Kombat 11 was only released in 2019. It is highly unusual for a series to see a sequel within such a short time frame, and fans are already speculating on what kind of changes and additions the new game will bring.
Mortal Kombat 11 was a critical and commercial success, and set a new record for the highest-grossing game in the series.
