Jonathan Covell’s journey to the role of CIDO at Macquarie University began in 2013 when he joined as a legal researcher. Throughout his career, he has gained valuable experience in the healthcare industry, including roles at NSW Health, the Australian Digital Health Agency, and Telstra Health. He rejoined Macquarie University in 2019 and has since held key positions, including portfolio director for health and finance. His diverse background and deep understanding of both the university’s culture and the complexities of the healthcare sector make him well-suited to lead the university’s IT strategy and digital transformation efforts.
