Seal Rocks, located three hours north of Sydney on the NSW mid north coast, has become such a hot holiday spot that the local council is asking tourists to leave. This tiny seaside town has a population of only 56 people, but its close proximity to Sydney and its unique coastal charm has made it an increasingly popular holiday destination.
The town is nestled between the Tasman Sea and Myall Lakes National Park, making it a perfect getaway for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The town boasts of an abundance of wildlife, including kangaroos and wallabies, as well as an array of birdlife, and stunning views of the nearby ocean.
MidCoast Council has advised tourists to stay away from the picturesque town, renowned for its stunning beaches and relaxed atmosphere, due to safety and traffic congestion issues that arise during the year’s warmer months.
“We strongly urge you to look into visiting other areas in our vicinity in the coming days, as the congestion of people in Seal Rocks has created traffic and emergency access issues,” MidCoast Council said in a social media post.
