Former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian revealed the future of her political career since quitting the office last October in an interview; confirmed she’s not coming back to politics.
Back in October last year, the former leader was forced to resign from the position after the state’s anti-corruption watchdog announced it was investigating whether she broke the law by failing to report the conduct of her ex-boyfriend, former MP Daryl Maguire.
Since leaving the office, Ms. Berejiklian grabbed a lavishing job; taking up the role of managing director of enterprise, business, and institution for telecommunication giant Optus in February.
In her first ever television interview since the resignation, she firmly told Sky News that she has no interest in running for Premier again and has left the political life behind her.
“I can’t speak for what other people decide, I can only speak for myself, and I’m really, really, looking forward to the next chapter of my life,” she told Sky News.
“And that’s with Optus, with their amazing people, and really making a difference to the organisation, which is what I’ve always been about.”
