Felicia Trewin, former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at AMP, has taken up a new role as Group Lead for Data and Technology at Medibank. Scheduled to commence her duties in early 2024, Trewin will oversee critical aspects such as technology, security, data management, and core platforms at Medibank.
Her appointment comes after a brief period of Kylie Williamson acting as CTO following John Goodall’s departure in March.
Leveraging Trewin’s Expertise
Medibank’s CEO, David Koczkar, emphasized Trewin’s substantial background in technology, large-scale program delivery, security, and transformation within the financial services sector. Trewin’s career path has included roles at AMP, AustralianSuper, ANZ, Deloitte, Microsoft, and Accenture.
Medibank’s executive team looks forward to benefiting from her wealth of experience as the organization continues to develop and implement technology-driven strategies.
Transition at AMP
Meanwhile, AMP is set to conduct an executive search to identify Trewin’s successor, with a particular focus on tapping into its internal talent pool. Trewin will maintain her involvement with the AMP technology team during a transitional phase. AMP’s CEO, Alexis George, commended Trewin for her pivotal role in shaping the company’s technology strategy and fostering a strong leadership team to execute that vision.
This transition underscores the evolving landscape of technology leadership in the financial and healthcare sectors.
