Here we sit down with Slim, to know a bit more about his journey as an entrepreneur.
Q. Tell us a little more about your journey as an entrepreneur – how did you get started? What inspired you?
Slim: The internet became a household service around when I was a teenager. I initially thought it would be amazing to be able to create my own websites. I instantly had a knack for basic HTML and learnt so much on my own at home just by surfing the web.
Over many years I began providing web design to people I knew, family and friends and eventually found myself doing this as a main hustle.
Q. What’s one thing in your routine that you do consistently that has made a huge difference in your personal or business life?
Slim: I have always managed time efficiently and made it a priority to deliver value. I do not prioritise the deadline but the value I can add to the business through their website.
I go out of my way to over-deliver so that in any situation where I may lack, I compensate elsewhere.

Q. Who are your mentors and inspiration? and what knowledge or insight did they give to you that was valuable?
Slim: I have always followed Dan Lok when it comes to business philosophy, he really pushes the idea that speed is what sells and that’s exactly what I sell.
Other inspirational speakers like Gary Vee have also taught me how to manage my business and deal with clients that want to be difficult.
Q. What has been your most satisfying moment in business?
Slim: When I was able to help a business whilst on vacation in Turkey, in the middle of a pool, on a floating chair on my laptop.
Q. How do you market your business, and which tactics have been most successful?
Slim: I sell performance. I found that many Australian businesses have slow websites or simply just poorly optimised websites that have been misbuilt or touched by one too many web designers.
Q. What have been your biggest failures or challenges?
Slim: Similar to how you can build a high-performance vehicle, the biggest challenge has been to provide stability along with website hosting performance. Web servers can be temperamental and getting it just right is hard.
In my early days, I took on a few clients who were bigger than I had anticipated and my servers had some issues holding that many users.
Q. How did this failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?
Slim: After experiencing these issues I began researching and studying network engineering and mastering Linux and Unix base systems to further my knowledge of Litespeed webserver technologies and intel Xeno capabilities.
Q. If someone was to create a TV show about you, what would it be about and what would it be called?
Slim: I actually work as an actor part-time and currently co-star in a few TV shows coming out in 2023-2024. I’ve also been an extra in several movies.
