ChatGPT user’s conversation histories leaked

Popular AI ChatBot GPT bug leaked users’ conversation histories raising privacy concerns. Though, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman had previously mentioned that the users can see the titles of other users’ conversations. However, few users shared images of chat histories on Reddit and Twitter. They claimed that these conversations are not theirs.

Meanwhile, the company CEO said that the company feels ‘’awful’’. However, the error has been fixed. Besides the fixation, many of the users are still concerned about the privacy of ChatGPT.

ChatGPT saves the user’s conversation in the user’s chat history bar. The user can revisit history later. Since its launch, millions of people have used it for writing songs, messages and codes.

However, on Monday users were surprised to see conversations they hadn’t had with ChatGPT. These conversations appear in history. One of the users shared a photo on the social media site Reddit with the title ‘’Chinese Socialism Development’’.

ChatGPT disable history to fix the error

Later the ChatGPT disabled the history to fix the error. It raises fears among users about their private conversations. They are worried that someone could use it to share their private information. OpenAI’s chief executive said in a tweet that there would be a “technical postmortem” soon.

This error also shows that ChatGPT has access to the user’s conversations. The company states that they use the user’s prompts and responses to train the model. However, the privacy policy mentions that they use the data after removing personally identifiable information.

Google and Microsoft are two major investors in OpenAI. Google recently unveiled its Chatbot Brad where a blunder comes during the test. Meanwhile, these AI tools are driving users crazy over the internet. Every day, companies are announcing new updates and releasing new products.

Such types of mistakes raise privacy concerns among users.
