Canva enterprise boss steps down

Surprisingly, Javier Soltero, Canva’s general manager of enterprise business, has left the company just six months after joining. The move follows the resignation of former CFO Damian Singh following allegations of misconduct, leaving the $38.4 billion startup in search of a new chief financial officer.

Soltero’s exit raised eyebrows, as he has an impressive track record at Microsoft and Google. His time at Canva was brief but impressive, enabling important projects and accelerating the company’s business processes. According to a Canva spokesperson, Soltero will continue to provide support and guidance in a consulting role.

The story has sparked speculation about Canva’s leadership and grand plans to take on Wall Street. But the company remains confident that it can adapt and succeed. Chief executive Cliff Obrecht assured that a new CFO would be appointed soon.

Last week, Canva’s Create conference in Los Angeles showcased the company’s commitment to innovation and creativity. The extensive rap battle stolen from the show highlighted the company’s focus on targeting larger consumers and expanding its agency business.

As Canva goes through this period of change, two new hires will play a key role in driving the company’s business forward. Amrita Murali, head of business marketing, and Robert Giglio, chief customer officer, come from Adobe along and bring valuable expertise to the table.

Despite the leadership shake-up, Canva’s founders remain optimistic about the company’s future. With a strong team in place and a clear vision for growth, Canva is poised to continue making waves in the tech industry.
