ANZ PARTNERS VISA FOR BNPL SERVICES

Through a collaboration with Visa, ANZ Banking Group will launch a buy now, pay later (BNPL) service that will allow credit card consumers to pay for products in installments. Quest, a shopkeeper transaction tech company, collaborates with Visa to make it easier for companies to accept Visa Instalments.

ANZ will join the likes of the Commonwealth Bank, the first big bank to establish its service called Step Pay, and Suncorp, which revealed intentions to create its BNPL program called Pay Later. According to a recent Visa study, 90% of respondents said they would use an installment plan from their issuing bank, and 85% said repayments would strengthen their connection with their card provider. Marqeta’s poll found that three out of four Australians increased their usage of BNPL goods during the pandemic, ranking them the worldwide leader in consumption when measured to the United Kingdom and the United States.

The ANZ mobile app also allows you to check your sales data, repayment details, and balances. Visa began investigating its BNPL product in 2019 while expanding it to the United States, Canada, Malaysia, and Russia.
