Microsoft has invited several Australian enterprises, including NAB, Suncorp, and AGL, to participate in its global early access program for Copilot, an AI assistant integrated into Microsoft 365 (M365) environments. The early access program aims to explore how generative AI can enhance various aspects of enterprise operations.
Participating Australian Enterprises
NAB (National Australia Bank): NAB is interested in testing Copilot for specific tasks and roles within the bank to assess the potential impact of generative AI.
Suncorp: Suncorp plans to leverage Copilot to connect insurance policyholders with relevant documentation. The goal is to enhance how employees access and utilize essential content, such as insurance product disclosure statements, to better assist customers.
AGL: AGL will initially focus on users who are heavy content producers or leaders with demanding schedules filled with conflicting meetings. However, the specific applications of Copilot in these scenarios have not been detailed.
Microsoft 365 Copilot:
Microsoft 365 Copilot is designed to function as a generative AI-like capability within M365 environments. It enables organizations to apply AI to their data, potentially improving various aspects of productivity and customer engagement.
These Australian enterprises’ participation in the early access program reflects their interest in exploring how AI can enhance their operations, streamline tasks, and provide more intuitive access to essential information.
The testing and feedback gathered during this program will contribute to the development and refinement of Copilot’s capabilities for broader enterprise use.
