Asus, a well-known manufacturer of gaming accessories and hardware, has recently revealed a brand-new Xbox and PC controller called the ROG Raikiri Pro. This controller is packed with high-end features, such as a cross-shaped directional pad, programmable back buttons, adjustable triggers, and a unique feature – a built-in OLED display.
The built-in OLED display is a small, monochrome display with a resolution of 128×40. The display is not intended to be used for a large amount of information, but rather to provide information at a glance. The OLED display has the potential to revolutionize the way gamers interact with their controllers. For example, it could be used to display a character’s health bar, ammo count, or other game-specific information.
The ASUS controller’s screen has a variety of potential applications, including the display of entertaining text, animations, and other visuals, as well as important information such as charging and battery status, the selected control scheme profile, and the microphone’s status.
The Raikiri Pro is highly attractive due to its tri-mode connectivity feature, as provided by Asus, which allows for connection to other devices through Bluetooth, 2.4Ghz wireless, or USB-C wired connection.
If playing on an Xbox, the Raikiri Pro must be connected with a wired USB connection, as tri-mode connectivity is only available when using the controller on a PC and no wireless options are available for console play.
As far as controllers go, the ROG Raikiri Pro is likely to be quite expensive, even though some controllers can be quite costly, though its exact price is yet to be listed.
