New CIO for NSW Treasury joining Bank of Queensland

Tracy Wilson, the senior information officer of NSW Treasury, has left the state agency and joined the Bank of Queensland.

Wilson has taken over as BoQ’s new chief information officer for group services and core technology.

Wilson’s responsibilities as a bank employee and customer-facing service representative include overseeing the bank’s key technological systems, which include all group services operations.

A NSW Treasury spokeswoman informed that the position “continues to have responsibility for critical technology platforms for Treasury and the sector, including the NSW budgeting platform.”

Treasury will receive a customer-facing security officer from the Department of Customer Service (DCS), which will continue to offer managed cyber security services through its shared platforms (CFSO).

The spokeswoman said, “The CFSO has access to the team of cyber experts at DCS to accomplish work for Treasury with priorities specified by the Treasury CIO.

Wilson worked in the legal sector for over two and a half years before joining the NSW Treasury in 2018. He also held the CIO role at the Australian law firm Henry David York.
