Cleo Smith – the lost girl search continues, as the police offer a $1m reward to anyone with the information of the missing girl’s whereabouts.
WA premier Mar MC Gown urged everyone with information regarding the girl to come forward and assist authorities. Over 100 police personnel and volunteers and army reservists are coming in search of Cleo. The search enters its sixth day.
Mark McGowan says,
’’ It’s a very sad situation, a very difficult situation, our thoughts go to everyone involved especially the family and friends of Cleo,’’
‘’ We have ensured we have delivered all the resources the police have requested… police are working round the clock to try and find Cleo right now.’’
The authorities say that anyone who helps us find Cleo or provides any information that leads to her will be rewarded with $1m. The authorities are hopeful that they will discover the location of the little girl as soon as possible.
Knowledge of the location
Though, she lost near the beach when she was with her family. However, the police and volunteers have been searching the whole area. They didn’t find any trace of her.
Now they are looking forward to getting help at any cost. The authorities say that they urge everyone to share information regarding the location of Cleo. This information will be very helpful to bring Cleo back safe and sound.
Col Blanch, Deputy Police commissioner says, ‘’ the reward is a significant step forward establishment of finding where Cleo is.’’
‘’ the cooperation of the community is what we are urgently seeking. I ask the community if you see anything, if you have seen anything or know anything, please call crime stoppers or walk into any police station across Australia,’’
Meanwhile, Detective superintendent Rod Wilde says authorities are hopeful that they will find Cleo alive. Though, they have a great fear for her safety. The police are keeping ‘’ an open mind and looking at all the possibilities. Whether she is taken away by someone or something else.
Investigation standstill
Despite, the involvement of a huge amount of authorities, police, volunteers, and community members, there is no satisfying progress in the case.
A large amount of information gathered, local register sex offenders being identify, Cleo’s biological dad being question, all of the known campers being interview, the investigation is standstill.
The next step would be to find missing CCTV and dashcam footage taken from the area. Tt can potentially help the police to find any clue.
Inspector Jon Munday told reporters,
‘’ That’s why we’re asking anybody that was in this vicinity, anybody who was traveling around these roads, if they’ve got any CCTV, dashcam footage or any intelligence, any information, would need to contact us.’’
Additionally ,anyone who was there in the vicinity between Friday and Sunday is urge to come forward, especially if they have dashcam footage.
