Vocus to market the commercial services of Starlink

Vocus and SpaceX have partnered to provide business and government clients with Starlink Business LEOsat services.

The “Vocus Satellite – Starlink” package will come with local integration and support services.

The LEO service will support the geostationary satellite services provided by Vocus via Skymuster from NBN Co.

The fibre and network services provider has agreements with OneWeb and the as-yet-unlaunched AWS Kuiper in addition

Vocus Development Manager for Space and Satellite Ashley Neale stated that “new technologies that threaten the existing quo – like LEO satellite – need similar-minded organisations to deliver full benefit.”

Customers using Vocus’ fibre network for mission-critical operations at their locations will now have an additional choice for reach and redundancy, adding to the level of assurance for business continuity with personalised service based on industry best practise.

Both a self-installation option and a premium installation option will be available for the Starlink services.

Starlink Business offers a high gain antenna, more throughput capacity (than the consumer product), and performance in adverse weather, all of which assist guarantee high bandwidth and low latency for crucial operations around-the-clock.
