After a year as the head of technology strategy architecture and integration at Virgin Australia, Emma Taylor has been elevated to head of technology.
Taylor started her new job in May and announced it on LinkedIn, saying she was “excited to share” the news.
“I’m looking forward to collaborating with the skilled digital and automation teams, as well as new business stakeholders, to create and deliver fantastic solutions and experiences that our customers will appreciate,” Taylor said.
“I’m grateful to be able to integrate my passion for architecture and integration with our agile CoE [Center of Excellence], digital development, and RPA [robotic process automation] at our company.”
Taylor joined the airline in 2021 as head of strategy and architecture, where he oversaw the airline’s IT strategy and technological investment.
Working alongside Virgin Australia’s head of data platform, Mark Allen, the post was created to have a significant impact on the company’s technology future.
llen was appointed at the same time as Taylor, as Virgin Australia revamped its IT leadership team following voluntary administration. He is still the head of data platform today.
