Investment firm Vanguard is on the lookout for its first-ever Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Head of Architecture for its Asia Pacific (APAC) division.
Vanguard is creating this role as part of a reorganization effort, bringing together the architecture and CTO teams to better serve clients, according to a spokesperson.
Based in Melbourne, the new appointee will operate under the leadership of Vanguard Asia Pacific CIO Aman Sahani. The role will report to Vanguard’s International Technology Office, which is located in Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities of the role include providing strategic direction, leading a team of technical support staff, and overseeing the design, development, testing, implementation, and monitoring of software and tools.
Additionally, the CTO and Head of Architecture will ensure architecture capability and flexibility through analytical models and validation tests, as well as building relationships with key technology providers, both strategic and boutique.
