Transurban CTO is retiring

Naiker has recently announced his departure from the Australian toll road operator, Transurban, via a LinkedIn post on Tuesday. He revealed that he had accepted an external IT executive role, leading him to leave his position at Transurban.

In his LinkedIn post, Naiker expressed gratitude to the customer and technology leadership team, stating that he was immensely proud of their collective achievements. Together, they successfully implemented various capabilities, technologies, and enhanced experiences that will leave a lasting positive impact on the company’s people, customers, and communities.

Naiker expressed confidence in the capable team he leaves behind, knowing that they will continue to execute the company’s strategies effectively, making the transition easier for him.

During his tenure at Transurban, Naiker served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), overseeing architecture, data & analytics, and digital aspects of the company. He played a crucial role in delivering the company’s strategy across different systems, platforms, and applications. Notably, he led the implementation of virtual desktops for approximately 850 employees during a transformative period for the organization.

Having initially joined Transurban in 2015 as the general manager for infrastructure and service delivery, Naiker later assumed the role of CTO in mid-2018. Prior to his time at Transurban, he spent nearly 11 years in various roles at SEEK, an online employment marketplace, including serving as the head of IT operations in 2013.

Upon the announcement of Naiker’s departure, Transurban acknowledged the news on LinkedIn, referring to it as “big news” and expressing gratitude for his contributions to the company.

As of now, there have been no further comments from Transurban’s spokesperson regarding Naiker’s departure.
