Toll Group joins SAP’s’sovereign cloud’ services

Toll Group, a logistics company, has become one of the early adopters of “sovereign cloud” services provided by SAP in Australia. The decision was driven by Toll’s increased focus on cyber security resilience, coupled with its clientele in the government and defence sectors.

Perry Singh, President of government and defence at Toll, stated that SAP’s sovereign cloud capabilities were an obvious choice for the company, given its existing SAP S/4 HANA environment and the alignment with the technology used by its major government clients.

IBM Consulting played a role in facilitating Toll Group’s adoption of these services, describing the project as a “secure modernisation” of Toll’s cloud environments.

SAP has established secure and hardened facilities in Australia and New Zealand to host managed services and cloud solutions. The sovereign cloud capabilities are currently available for various SAP solutions, including SAP S/4 HANA Cloud, private edition, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Business Technology Platform.
