Endeavour Group has appointed Richard Bamber as its new Transformation Director as the company moves forward with establishing its own independent technology direction following its separation from the Woolworths Group.
Bamber started the position in January and is described by an Endeavour Group spokesperson as having “a unique blend of technical acumen and business strategy.”
The search for a Transformation Director began in September to lead the overall transformation program following the merger of Endeavour Group’s hotel and retail businesses and the demerger from Woolworths Group. Bamber will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and oversee the company’s transformation programs.
Endeavour Group has already transitioned its end-user computing and data analytics platform, set up its own technology operating model, and has multiple programs in place for transformation. The company is striving to modernize its operations by introducing new systems such as a people system, commerce tool, order management system, enterprise resource planning system, and point-of-sale system.
Bamber previously served as the Chief Platform and Innovation Officer at Clear Dynamics for two years, as well as a partner at Boston Consulting Group for over six years and IBM for more than eight years.
