The group data officer at Macquarie Capital has left the firm

Stuart Brown, Macquarie Capital’s group data officer and head of data and analytics, has announced his departure from the bank in a LinkedIn post. Brown spent five and a half years at Macquarie Capital, during which time he set up the bank’s first data and analytics function and led a “data transformation agenda.” This agenda involved everything from regulatory data feeds to market monitoring analytics for Macquarie Capital’s bankers.

Brown said that he felt his work at the bank was done and that the team was in a strong position for the next chapter. Prior to joining Macquarie Capital, Brown worked at Sydney Water and has also held positions at Optus, RXP Group, Zenith Solutions, and ACT Health. The bank declined to comment on Brown’s departure.
