Tesla to end remote work and plan to cut 10% of jobs

Elon Musk, Tesla’s boss asked the staff to return to the office declaring that working remotely is no more required. It will not be acceptable to work from home. Meanwhile, Tesla did not respond to the request for comment. Elon Musk said in a comment on the policy, ‘’ People who are unwilling to abide by the new rules can ‘’ pretend to work somewhere else’’.

He wrote in one of his emails, ‘’ everyone at Tesla is required to spend a minimum of 40 hours in the office per week. If you don’t show up, we will assume you have resigned.’’

 Cut 10 per cent jobs at Tesla

The CEO, Elon Musk is looking forward to cutting 10 per cent of the jobs at Tesla. As he has a ‘’super bad feeling’’ about the economy. According to Reuters, he send a message on Thursday with the subject line ‘’pausing all hiring worldwide,’’ According to different sources, Elon Musk ‘’ did not elaborate on the reasons for his bad feelings about the economy.

Quit or Work in the office

Elon Musk sends a memo to Tesla employees to work in the office for at least 40 hours. Or else quit their jobs. Moreover, he also sends an identical employee to SpaceX employees. He also said in the memo, ‘’ the office must be where your actual colleagues are located, not some remote pseudo office.’’

Elon Musk said in an email, ‘’ Tesla has and will create and manufacture the most exciting and meaningful products of any company on earth. This will not happen by phoning it in.’’ The CEO himself a very hardworking and rarely takes holidays. He even slept on the factory floor a few years ago during the crunch period of Tesla. He wrote, ‘’ the more senior you are, the more visible must be your presence. That is why I lived in the factory so much- so that those on the line could see me working alongside them. If I had not done that, Tesla would long ago have gone bankrupt.’’
