The not-so-tiny humans! Tennille is the big kid that makes Tiny Human Hampers! After years spent searching the internet for quality kids’ gift hampers and coming up short, they simply decided to make them themselves! Tennille’s mission is to make fun and high-end hampers in a sustainable way!

Meet Tiny Human Hampers, Founder/Owner Tennille. Tennille has been running multiple successful businesses for almost a decade!

Here we sit down with Tennille, to know a bit more about her journey as an entrepreneur.

Q. What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

Tennille: I’m inspired by my passion for creating something new, solving problems, and fulfilling a need in the market. I’m also driven by a desire for independence, financial success, and a sense of purpose in my work. Ultimately, becoming an entrepreneur requires a combination of creativity, strategic thinking, perseverance, and a willingness to take risks.

My father owned a small business and his hard work and success as a business owner inspired me. I believe that this has motivated me to start and develop my own businesses.

Q. How did you get started?

Tennille: I’m such a hamper nerd! I absolutely love to send people gift hampers! But after years spent searching the internet for quality kid’s gift hampers and coming up short, I simply decided to make them myself!

Q. What was your biggest startup challenge? What steps did you take to overcome it? What did you learn?

Tennille: Keeping things sustainable is always a struggle. In the end, you have to be proud of the product you’re putting out into the world. That’s why we’ve partnered with a reputable tree-planting organisation to plant a tree for every hamper purchased from our store.

Also at Tiny Human Hampers, our boxes are printed in Melbourne from recycled paper and sent to you in bio-degradable mailer slips from Hero Packaging! We aim to be as plastic-free as possible with very minimal packaging.

Q. What is the most memorable thing you’ve done since you started your business?

Tennille: Selling my first hamper was pretty cool!

Q. What are your top 3 favourite online apps, tools or resources and what do you love about them?

Tennille: Hootsuite is expensive, but definitely worth it. It allows us to manage our social schedule all in one place. I couldn’t live without Google Analytics and it’s free. I literally watch people moving around the site all day long! I also absolutely love WooCommerce!

Q. In terms of legacy, what is the mark you’d like to leave on the world?

Tennille: I want to use my passions, strengths, and values to make a positive impact on others and the world around me. I’m very passionate about making a mark in a sustainable way.

Q. In one sentence, what’s the best advice you’d give to someone just starting out on their entrepreneurial journey?

Tennille: Ahhh don’t do it! No, just joking.

Entrepreneurship can be challenging and demanding, so it’s crucial to choose a field or industry that you’re passionate about. This can help you stay motivated and persistent even when faced with setbacks or obstacles.
