Telstra Purple acquires a leader in Telstra’s international business

Oliver Camplin-Warner, the current boss of Telstra International, is set to head Telstra Purple upon his return to Australia.

He has been with Telstra for over 11 years, with his current role beginning in 2018. Prior to that, Camplin-Warner worked for IBM in the UK for 11 years, including as head of financial markets.

Telstra has credited him with growing Telstra International to represent 10% of the company’s overall EBITDA. Telstra Purple, launched in 2019, has over 2000 experts in networks, IoT, cybersecurity, cloud, data, AI and workplace technologies.

Camplin-Warner will finish his tenure at Telstra International at the end of the financial year and will start at Telstra Purple on July 1. Telstra has started recruitment for a new head of international, with the previous head of Telstra Purple being Christopher Smith.
