A restaurant in southwest Sydney has come up with an innovative way of dealing with their customers amidst strict social distancing norms.
They use a sliding basket in which the food is kept for customers and then with a broomstick the employee slides it away towards the customer.
Delivery Of Food By Broom
The Sydney region has become a hotspot of the new Delta variant of COVID. This unusual delivery technique at a restaurant was captured on video by a passerby.
In the footage, the customer waits patiently outside the Good Wok restaurant in Revesby on the weekend as his food is wrapped in a white plastic tray and pushed to him by a broom by worker.
The man removes the food, grabs his change, and the tray glides back into the restaurant.
The delivery solution is being used by this restaurant as NSW records 112 new local infections on Monday, the highest number since the Bondi COVID incident spread across the city.
Situation In NSW
Health officials were forced to tighten restrictions on Friday but the number of new cases continued to rise as Premier Gladys Berejiklian acknowledged the city’s closure would need to be extended.
“Given where the numbers are, it is not likely, in fact, almost impossible for us to get out of lockdown on Friday,” she told reporters on Monday.
“We will be able to give you more details as soon as that becomes available
“The length of the circuit breaker and lockdown period will depend on our ability to cooperate and follow health advice across the country.”
