REA Group, a prominent real estate company, has announced its complete acquisition of fintech CampaignAgent. This move is aimed at reducing obstacles for customers and potential vendors during property sales.
Previously holding a 27 percent stake in CampaignAgent, which was purchased for $13.3 million in 2021, REA Group has also invested in other fintech ventures.
Based in Victoria, CampaignAgent provides funding for vendor paid advertising (VPA) campaigns in property sales and facilitates the recovery of costs post-sale.
In Australia, sellers typically bear the expenses of sale signboards, advertising, and media listings.
On Tuesday, REA Group emphasized that the full acquisition of CampaignAgent demonstrates its dedication to assisting customers and potential vendors by streamlining the property selling process.
Owen Wilson, the CEO of REA Group, stated that CampaignAgent’s approach aligns with their own strategic vision.
“Since our initial investment in 2021, we have actively supported CampaignAgent’s growth and development,” Wilson explained.
“Their products enhance the seller experience by reducing friction and offering flexibility to accommodate various vendor preferences. This benefits both our customers and consumers, making the real estate market more efficient.”
Additionally, Wilson highlighted that REA Group recognizes a significant opportunity to raise awareness about CampaignAgent’s innovative solutions and provide additional financing options for the property sale process.
