Product Safety Australia has recalled a popular Myer item over safety concerns as the item poses a choking hazard to small children.
The watchdog has warned customers to stop purchasing the Jack & Milly Koala silicone ‘sippy cup’.
The warning was issued regarding the silicone on the cups that may be defective.
As per Product Safety Australia, the defect may cause the silicone to come out or tear from the cup.
And if the detached silicone is consumed by the small children, it may cause choking or ingestion hazards, which could be a serious threat to life.
“It is advised that customers should return the product and ask for a refund, or perhaps contact the Myer’s customer service team,” Product Safety Australia said.
The urgent recall was issued this week after the regulator found the product is a serious threat to small children.
The available sale data of the cup is from 23 Nov 2021 to 4 Jun 2022, which was sold online and at Myer stores.
It is urged to return the product if possess and ask for a refund.
A receipt is not required to obtain a refund in this case.
