PEXA will establish an academy on the Melbourne campus of Victoria University as part of a two-year deal to improve VU’s digital training.
The university and the intellectual property exchange platform’s memorandum of collaboration encompasses initiatives such as graduate and internship programmes, the development of “capstone projects” for students, information sharing, and jointly sponsored hack days.
The organisations will also have roundtable discussions on topics such as cyber security and artificial intelligence, as well as analyse data on housing affordability and homelessness.
PEXA will also provide an initial $10,000 contribution to VU’s tech-focused, merit-based student prizes.
The PEXA Academy will be housed in VU’s City Tower, which PEXA will lease.
This agreement is part of a VU goal to bring at least one industry-aligned partner to each campus by the end of the year.
