In a recent announcement, Elon Musk stated that starting from April 15, only verified accounts will be allowed to vote in Twitter polls. Musk hopes that this move will help address issues related to AI bot swarms.He said, ‘’ this is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over. It is otherwise a hopeless losing battle.”
He also confirmed that only verified accounts will be considered for Twitter’s “For You” recommendations. Which shows a collection of tweets from different accounts on Twitter.
Last year, Musk had announced that Twitter would limit voting on policy-related polls. This new decision is seen as a step towards fulfilling that promise.
However, Twitter has not yet responded to requests for comment on the matter.
