Nintendo Asks Partner Suppliers to Increase Switch Production

The Nintendo Switch is one of the most popular consoles in recent memory. It’s been a hit with gamers and critics alike, and it looks like Nintendo isn’t taking any chances when it comes to its success.

According to a report from Bloomberg, Nintendo has asked its partner suppliers to increase their production of the Switch in the new financial year.

The news of increased production of the Nintendo Switch has caused many people to speculate that a successor console is many years away. This would make sense, as Nintendo typically waits a few years before releasing a new console.

However, some people believe that the increased production is a sign that Nintendo could be preparing to launch a new console sooner rather than later. This could be due to the success of the Switch, which has sold over 50 million units since its launch in 2017.

UBS Securities analyst Kenji Fukuyama said despite analysts believing that sales are likely to slow down as the Switch enters its seventh year on the market, people are likely to hold off on buying the console as speculation rises over a potential successor.

“Despite improved supply, sales during the recent holiday season were not particularly strong. As a result, people are likely to begin speculating about the release of next-generation hardware and refrain from purchasing the existing system,” Fukuyama told Bloomberg.
