Nine has found its next chief technology officer

Media and entertainment company Nine has named Memo Hayek as its new chief information and technology officer (CITO), replacing Damian Cronan who left last year to become chief digital and information officer at the ABC.

Hayek was previously divisional CIO and general manager of group cyber transformation and delivery at the Commonwealth Bank, and has also held tech roles at other major banks. In her new role, Hayek will be responsible for technology vision, strategy, planning and delivery at Nine, and will report to the company’s chief digital officer, Alex Parsons.

Hayek is described as “a real change agent” who is skilled at driving digital transformation and innovation. She will join Nine on 27 March and will be part of the company’s executive and digital leadership teams.
