The best-selling popular game Mincraft is getting an animated series on Netflix. Minecraft celebrated its 15th birthday celebrations, and with it came big news. A short teaser was released showing the Netflix logo ‘N’ on top of a volcanic rock. The video is captioned as ‘’just happened’’.
According to the streamer, the animated series will present an original story with new characters. However, the release date has not been announced yet. Netflix has a history of successful projects based on games such as Castlevania series, Cyberpunk, Edge Runners and many more.
Minecraft being the best-seller game, and Netflix the most popular streaming network makes a deadly combination. The show will be made in collaboration with Mojang studio, the original developer and animation studio Wildbrain.
Meanwhile, Minecraft is also set to get a Movie adaptation, Which is expected to be released in April with Jumanji’s Jack Black.
