NBN Co will shorten the notice period for FTTC-P upgrade work to customers

NBN Co is set to reduce the amount of notice it gives its customers from at least five business days to just one, for fibre upgrade work in its FTTC footprint. This change is due to be implemented at the start of June, and reflects the on-demand fibre programme’s growing popularity. Customers in the fibre-to-the-curb (FTTC) footprint are offered a full-fibre connection if they opt for a 250Mbps plan or above. NBN Co has stated that a five-day notice period can cause problems if work is delayed, and that by reducing the period to one day, it can ensure a smoother schedule and give greater certainty to all involved.
