NBN Co will shorten the notice period for FTTC-P upgrade work to customerS

NBN Co is set to shorten the notice period given to customers in its fibre-to-the-curb (FTTC) footprint before planned work takes place from five business days to just one day. This change to NBN Co’s on-demand fibre programme will come into effect at the beginning of June. The current notice period has caused challenges in the past, as work has often been delayed, necessitating additional notifications to customers. By reducing the notice period to one day, NBN Co aims to reduce the chance of such scenarios, maintain scheduling and deliver more effectively. The FTTC to FTTP upgrades take approximately 15 minutes and only happen once per distribution point unit (DPU), which can serve four, eight or 16 premises.
