Jeremiah Rivers, 27, from east Kimberley, is missing at a Wilson river since 18 October. He was having camping with friends near Wilson River which is about 20km south of Noccundra. He was traveling with a group to visit his family in Darwin.
According to his family, he is not a person not to contact his family. They say,
‘’ He has a very loving family, and they are desperate to find him. It is totally out of his character not to contact his family.’’
Ask for Help
Since the police have scaled back from the Search, the family by its own. They asked everyone to come forward and help find him. They say, ‘’ this is a life or death situation and requires immediate help.’’
Meanwhile, police say Rivers was last seen leaving the campsite around 9.30 am. The police searched for him involving land, aerial and underwater search. However, on Monday, they announced to scale back their operations. Though, they assure to support the family.
Rivers’s Family
Since his family was in another Darwin, his mother Joanne River, along with his aunt Belinda Rivers and uncle Digby Rivers have traveled to Noccundra. They are looking for him.
His aunt Belinda posted a Video to her Facebook page on Monday evening, urging family and friends to help. Since there is no sign of him yet.
‘’ There’s still no update, we still haven’t found him, she said. ‘’ And as you can see… there’s no search party, the party [has been] called off.’’
The family is staying at a nearby hotel in Noccundra. They have no reception and only a single payphone available to them.
The family had used all their resources to find Rivers, however, they do not have funds and resources for further search. They only communicate through Messenger wifi from a local hotel. Meanwhile, Hooper said she had spoken to the family who said they are not using any vehicle and running out of food.
Joanne Rivers has set up a GoFundMe page to help fund the family’s search.
They wrote on go fund me, ‘’Hello friends and family thank you for your ongoing support and prayers. The authority’s search and rescue team left today after extensive field and air support. We will continue to provide updates, if anyone has information we urge you to contact the police.’’
