Lenova See-Through Laptop Leaked Images

Evan Blass (known as Evleaks), has shared an image of the upcoming transparent laptop, stating that Lenovo would be showcasing it at MWC 2024. The image depicts two of the laptops on a desk – one with the screen turned on that you can see through the other with the screen turned off. If this is a leaked promotional image, it’s a very smart one. Things look quite similar to the images WindowsReport displayed earlier this month, making us believe this is what the final product will look like.

The trend of transparent tech seems to be dominating this decade. Nothing has been creating a buzz with its transparent devices, and the latest CES revealed that the leading TVs are also embracing transparent screens. For a while, there have been speculations about a transparent laptop from Lenovo. And these speculations have resurfaced with the new photos, ahead of a probable announcement at the MWC 2024 expo.

Here’s another look at that transparent laptop concept Lenovo’s bringing to MWC.

This concept laptop features a fully transparent display on top, resembling a window. Instead of a physical keyboard, there’s a full-sized tablet. It’ll be some kind of touch-sensitive keyboard, like with the capability to also show additional content. There’s a stylus that you’ll be able to use as well, for more creative inputs. Presumably you’ll have to use this on the “keyboard tablet” rather than the transparent display. It looks like the laptop will run Windows 11, which makes sense for a new laptop.

Transparent display technology is not entirely new – Samsung first introduced a similar idea at CES 2010. But we’re yet to see any mainstream transparent displays hit the market. Although, there is a Xiaomi transparent TV you can find in Asia. While Lenovo’s upcoming laptop is still a concept for now, it’s intriguing.
