Kmart Recalls Popular Teething Toy

Anko Teething Llama, a popular children’s teething toy, has been pulled from Kmart shelves over a defect which could potentially lead to death.

The toy, which is made by Anko Products, was found to have one foot’s cap that seals the entry point of the mould to be not secure and could detach from the toy completely.

The company has issued a recall of the product and is urging parents to return the toy to Kmart for a full refund.

The foot’s cap can detach from the llama, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Product Safety Australia is urging parents to stop using the toy immediately and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“If the cap comes off the teether, it can be a choking hazard for young children, which could result in severe injury or death,” the PSA said.

The recall affects the teething llamas with Keycode 43144082 and APN number 9341108951179.

If you have purchased the product, stop using it immediately and return it to your local Kmart for a refund.
