James Wilson took over LinkedIn post to share his appointment as WoolieX new Chief Digital Technology officer. In the post he talks about his experience as new CDTO and immersing into Woolworths Business. James seems very excited and thrilled with the new position.
Sharing his experience he said, ‘’ Everyday Rewards, BigW and Countdown.’’ In the post he said that he joined WoolieX in october, and it’s been two months into welcoming and familiarizing him with the environment.
He further added, ‘’ I’ve worked in stores, fulfillment centers, and even been out on delivery trucks in the early hours of the morning (They didn’t let me drive the trust though!).’’ He believes this is a thoughtful, considered and wonderfully intense induction into a new role at WooliesX. Though the industry is new to him but WoolieX ensures that he learn important things about the industry.
Wilson replaced Nick Eshkenazi
Former CDTO, Nick Eshkenazi left WooliesX back in July. He was appointed as chief Digital officer at global digital gifting company Prezee. WooliesX spokesperson confirmed Wilson’s appointment. Additionally, ‘’ will partner across our digital businesses. And the group to orchestrate our customer digital technology strategy, which enables us to create better experiences. And build digital technology capability that powers our digital ecosystem.’’
Talking about the new team, Wilson said he got an incredible team at WooliesX. He said, ‘’ I am ecstatic to play a new role in shaping and how we engineer technology to create better experiences together for a better tommarrow.
Wilson previously worked with CBA
James has 20 years of experience in software and network engineering in Australia and the US.Before joining WooliesX, Wilson was working with CBA. He worked as Chief engineer for x15 ventures and distinguished engineer for commonwealth bank.
Morover, he also has worked with Apple and Amazon Web service (AWS) as senior software engineering manager.
