In the market for top-tier consultancy, Airservices

Australia

A consultant is needed by Airservices Australia to manage its extensive tech work programme.

The agency went to market last month for a portion of its refresh, replacing its technical operations centres in Melbourne and Brisbane with a single integrated service operations centre (ISOC).

Airservices stated in a tender released at the end of October that it seeks a “central and consistent approach to service management” in addition to a number of other procedures that are currently in motion.

The tender said that large initiatives were “currently developing potentially customised methods to the design, transition and support of multiple significant technologies/platforms” in place of a centrally led approach to service management.

The organisation runs the danger of offering a fragmented client experience, which would reduce its operational effectiveness, according to the tender.

By continuing to rely on outdated support platforms, the present strategy is also “reinforcing legacy technological debt,” according to the tender.

The ISOC design and delivery will be handled by whoever wins the tender.
