Google’s New AI-Powered Flight Search Tool

Attention, deal-seekers! Google has launched Flight Deals, a new AI-powered feature within Google Flights, designed to help flexible travelers save money on their next trip.

Instead of endlessly adjusting dates, destinations, and filters, you can now simply describe your travel plans as if you were talking to a friend. For example, you might type: “week-long trip this winter to a city with great food, nonstop only” or “10-day ski trip to a world-class resort with fresh powder.” Flight Deals will instantly show you the best bargains that fit your preferences — including some destinations you may not have even considered.

What sets Flight Deals apart is its use of Google’s advanced AI, which understands the context of your request and matches it with real-time data from Google Flights. This means you’ll see the most relevant, up-to-date deals from hundreds of airlines and booking sites in seconds.

The tool is launching in beta, giving travelers a chance to test it out while Google gathers feedback and explores how AI can further improve trip planning. Don’t worry though — the original Google Flights isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it’s getting better too, with a new option that lets users exclude basic economy fares for trips within the U.S. and Canada.

Over the next week, Flight Deals will roll out across the U.S., Canada, and India. You can try it directly from the Flight Deals page or by navigating through the top-left menu on Google Flights.

Whether you’re hunting for a last-minute getaway or planning your dream vacation, Flight Deals is built to make the process easier — and more affordable.
